Some courts won’t laugh,
At an Emperor with no clothes,
Because he is still an Emperor,
A bloody legacy of conquest,
Knack for violent monopoly,
Centre of servile attention,
A black hole that sucks,
Everything around him into nothingness,
The rule by fear and of fear.
The man who is the law is without law –
But the man who fears nothing is nothing.
It is neither crown nor gown,
That makes the Emperor,
The Emperor’s clothes are Empire,
And while it is a neat trick,
To steal the crown off a King’s head,
I think I’ll take the Empire instead.
