Fish Faces

I thought I knew him,
A Mrs Vain for him,
In love with love,
An angel in disguise,
My half filled cup of Sundays,
Why don’t we like Mondays?
Straight to the point,
I let you pierce my veils,
I’m a mermaid explorer,
I’m the mother of snails.

You blew smoke in my face
So I blew bubbles in yours,
And we kinda got along,
Your sorta music, my kinda song.

Deep in the afterthought,
Did you plan to get underneath me?
The strength and doomed glory,
Of ten thousand men,
Asleep in your story.
She pecked your chicken,
With her beautiful hen,
He scrambled my little egg
Everything you never wanted,
Just to get inside my head.

Now she’s silky on your face,
The me that’s never there,
Fish food to cry about,
These bubbles so full of air,
Still we were for a little while –
As particles colliding –
Lovers on the edge of darkness,
A wink, a prayer, a smile,
And the courage to put
The whole world on trial.

You blew smoke in my face
So I blew bubbles in yours,
And we kinda got along,
Your sorta music, my kinda song.
