The Stranglehold

For happy days to seek happy nights,
In this haze of violent delights,
The will must be the thing that bends,
As witness made to these violent ends.

Circles and circles of Earth and Sol,
Where man must fall for what he stole,
These tales tell of two snakes entangled,
Our endless times are so many angled.

Upon ancient roads of golden hue,
A Queen of Bones has much to do.
For the world upon her shoulders borne,
She rises to break the starlit dawn.

The pretty pieces that twist and swirl,
Kaleidoscopes that were once a girl,
Seeing this world through different eyes,
A world she knows she must despise.

Dying world so worthless with pity
I still hear whispers of a Silver City,
Within her beauty and beast still dance,
Within these wings of fate and chance.

Gentle and fierce, these winds of change
What time has written we rearrange
Destiny’s road inlaid glitters with gold,
These days are young, but the nights so old.
